Our annual trip to the Recruitment Agency Expo in Birmingham was an ideal opportunity for the Glen Callum Team to keep abreast with all the latest hiring trends and job search methods.
We want to ensure our recruitment team is able to share with both employers and candidates the latest “hints and tips” to help them keep ahead of the recruitment and job search market. Four members of our team took time out yesterday to attend a whole range of seminars, presentations and training sessions to expand our recruitment expertise.
The focus for current trends this year was definitely social media and technology biased however there was also a thread in many of the presentations suggesting that face to face contact is still key in engaging both clients and candidates.
It was a great day hearing from fellow professionals, who are aware of the current challenges the industry is facing, offering advice on how we can enhance our recruitment methods and make the whole process seamless for all.
The next step for us is to ensure we share the ideas with the rest of our team, who unfortunately for them were left holding the fort!
