Motivational Monday
A Monday in mid January is traditionally labelled as ‘Blue Monday’ – the saddest day of the year. This is due to a combination of factors – bad weather and cold dark nights, post Christmas over indulgence, the arrival of credit card bills, low motivation, and failed New Year’s resolutions.
We at Glen Callum have looked to the positives that gloomy January has to offer and decided to name all of our Mondays in January ‘Motivational Monday’. After all January is the best time to job hunt and so for many January is a time of optimism!
Let’s banish those January blues and adopt the ethos of ‘new year, new start’. Let January be the window of opportunity to embrace new challenges and the possibility of a new career. In January, businesses have renewed budgets and we see an abundance of new roles. So set your sights high and thrive on ‘Motivational Monday’.
The team at Glen Callum are here to help and support you, so why not spend the weekend prepping your new CV, and use Motivational Monday to send it to us. Allow us to help you with your 2023 job search!

Note – this article is written as a light hearted take on “Blue Monday”. Mental health awareness is important to the team at Glen Callum Associates and thus we ask everyone at this time to check in with friends and family. We also appreciate the great work that organisations like BEN, The Samaritans, MIND and the NHS offer, don’t hesitate to contact any one of these organisations for further advice, help and support.
