Purchase Ledger / Accounts Administrator
We are looking for an Accounts Administrator / Finance Clerk with proficient pc skills in Excel who seeks a stable role.
The role will be varied and offers a friendly team environment and a smart and modern office building. The company is a successful distribution business, having been established over 20 years and is showing consistent growth.
The role has become vacant due to the impending retirement of a longstanding employee, who will offer handover training. You will also report and work closely with the MD.
AAT or a similar Accountancy or Finance qualification would be beneficial however is not essential. If you have experience in a similar role that would also be ideal. Good Maths and English and the ability to use initiative is essential.

The Role
- Record financial transactions and process sales invoices.
- Bank reconciliation, and customer accounts and stock reconciliation.
- Assist with accounts processing & monthly Management Accounts Reports.
- Checking of purchase invoices against purchase orders.
- Complete cashflow forecasting.
- Credit control.
- Assist with cost of sales analysis.
- Oversee tax and VAT records and reports.
- Liaise with external contractors regarding payment queries.
- Process expenses.
- Schedule invoices for payment and instigate payment runs.
- Monitor foreign currencies.
- Assist with price calculations.
- Experience of SAGE 50 (preferred).
- Take ownership of pricing and purchasing activity, using Microsoft Excel.
- Manage stock levels through analysis and the monitoring of customer buying patterns.
The Candidate
- This role would suit a confident Finance or Accounts Administrator seeking a small but successful, forward-thinking company to develop their skillset further.

- Previous experience of working with a CRM system is advantageous.
