Ford are leading the way with the Ford Focus at the top of the board, as well as having 3 of their cars in the top 10 and 14 in the top 100. With the UK having 1.5 million Focuses tootling about it’s not completely unbelievable, Ford also have the top selling car worldwide, the Fiesta.

- Ford Focus (04-08)
- Vauxhall Corsa-D
- Vauxhall Astra-H
- Ford Fiesta (’02)
- Ford Fiesta (’08)
- Vauxhall Astra-J
- Volkswagen Golf V (1K1) (03-08)
- Vauxhall Insignia-A
- BMW 3 Series (E90/91/92/93) (05-14)
- Audi A3/A3 Sportback (8PA/8P1) (03-13)
Who benefits?
The fact of the matter is cars NEED servicing, there’s no getting away from it, so whilst I’m sure you grumble about your yearly or 6 month service and oil change, and think its money down the drain, it does mean your engine is less likely to seize, how much is a new engine again? That doesn’t make £100ish sound like a bad investment, does it?
But besides yourself, the wider industry benefits; services keep your friendly neighbourhood garage in business, they in turn will more than likely source the consumables and parts needed from a local factor, who in turn buy off the distributors, who buy off OE/aftermarket manufacturers, keeping all of these companies in business, and contributing towards the £77.5B a year UK Automotive sector.
