Team Glen Callum cross the finish line at the Denso Ironbridge Half Marathon

We are delighted (albeit a little bit sore) to announce that Team Glen Callum completed the “multi-terrain” 2019 Denso Ironbridge Half Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK. The aim was to “finish” and it’s fair to say the hard work and training for this “undulating” half marathon certainly paid off. The team also agree that “undulating” is an understatement.

We did it!

The Ironbridge half marathon runs up and down through the historical and picturesque Ironbridge gorge, though not that many of our team were able to take in the sights and scenery, keeping their focus on the finish line and their time.

For those who took a guess as to who would be the fastest to the finish, it actually was Kerrie Richards, our Director who took the number one spot in the team. All while Kerrie had been recovering from a knee injury! Kayleigh and Tom also came in with fantastic times, beating their own personal goals and finally Claire crossed the finish line just in time to collect her medal.

So far, we have raised over £650 for Cancer Research UK but we hope this number will continue to increase as people are still donating for the brilliant charity and effort from Team Glen Callum Associates.

Cancer research is a charity funding life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of cancer. Cancer Research is working to prevent cancer, diagnose it earlier, develop new treatments and optimise existing treatments to make them more effective.
