2019 Metal Basher’s Ball – MMMA Dinner Dance

The Glen Callum Associates Team were once again dressed to impress as we joined The Metalforming Machinery Makers’ Association (MMMA) for their annual Metal Bashers’ Ball. The event was held at the Copthorne Hotel in the heart of the Black Country, just 10 minutes from the Glen Callum Associates HQ!

Following dinner, we were treated to a local history lesson from Guest Speaker Carl Chin on the truth of the real Peaky Blinders and the Shelby Clan. For instance, did you know the term “Peaky Blinders” was a generic term referring to any violent gang from the West Midlands area and not just the formidable Shelby family? (Well I do now!).

Finally, finishing the evening off there was some fantastic music and dancing from the Soultown Collective followed by plenty of networking and catching up with clients we have worked with closely over the last year such as Bruderer, Worcester Presses, Schuler to name a few!

Check out some photos of the Glen Callum Associates team and other guests at the MMMA Metal Bashers’ Ball 2019.

Team Glen Callum all cross the finish line at Denso Ironbridge Half Marathon 2019

We are delighted (albeit a little bit sore) to announce that Team Glen Callum completed the “multi-terrain” 2019 Denso Ironbridge Half Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK. The aim was to “finish” and it’s fair to say the hard work and training for this “undulating” half marathon certainly paid off. The team also agree that “undulating” is an understatement.

We did it!

The Ironbridge half marathon runs up and down through the historical and picturesque Ironbridge gorge, though not that many of our team were able to take in the sights and scenery, keeping their focus on the finish line and their time. Continue reading full article

Team Glen Callum race to the finish!

Raising money for Cancer Research Glen Callum Associates have entered a team in the “multi-terrain” 2019 Denso Ironbridge Half Marathon.   With an aim to “finish” the team have worked hard training for the “undulating” half marathon that runs through the historical and picturesque Ironbridge gorge.   With the team of mostly “non runners” staving off multiple injuries it’s likely that any bets will be on who hobbles first rather than who finishes first!   With the competition for first place being hotly contested, as you would expect from our competitive recruiters, the bets in the office are on! (My monies on Kayleigh….unless Tom’s cold suddenly subsides!)
