Still Buzzing from Automechanika Birmingham 2025!
It’s been a couple of weeks since the doors closed on Automechanika Birmingham 2025 – the UK’s leading trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain – but the energy and excitement generated over those three incredible days still resonates across the industry.
Held biennially at the NEC, this much-anticipated event is firmly cemented as a key date in the Glen Callum Associates (GCA) calendar, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint!
A Show That Delivered… and Then Some!
The 2025 edition welcomed 15,000+ senior UK visitors who enjoyed access to over 550 leading brands representing more than 25 countries. From 50+ exclusive product launches to 150 hours of free skills training, and countless networking opportunities – Automechanika offered something for everyone.
Whether you were a school leaver discovering the new Motorvate initiative, a technician eager to explore the latest innovations, or a company shouting about a new product or service – this show catered to all corners of the sector.
The exhibition halls buzzed with activity as hundreds of stands showcased cutting-edge products, services, and interactive displays designed to engage and impress. And that’s exactly what they did!
GCA on the Ground – Meeting, Filming, and Celebrating People

GCA Director, Kerrie Richards, commented:
“Trade shows like Automechanika are invaluable for staying ahead of industry trends. The show reinforces our commitment to keeping GCA forward-thinking and deeply connected to the sector.”
Glen Shepherd, GCA Director and a familiar face to many, spent time chatting with clients, candidates, and industry leaders. One consistent message echoed throughout every conversation – it’s all about the people.
“The innovation on display was inspiring, but the real magic of this industry lies in the people – their passion, dedication, and drive,” Glen shared. “Seeing so many of our clients and former candidates thriving is a reminder of why we do what we do.”
Senior Consultant Kayleigh Bradley added:
“It’s always a privilege to see our candidates doing well – watching them progress and hearing their success stories in person was a real highlight.”
Networking That Made an Impact
Automechanika 2025 also played host to two official networking events, and the GCA team were proud to be part of both.
The Women in Automotive Networking Event was packed with inspirational individuals, all eager to connect, collaborate and champion diversity in the sector.
“It was uplifting to be part of such a powerful room of changemakers,” said one of the GCA attendees. “We came away with fresh perspectives, new contacts, and renewed motivation.”
Meanwhile, the IAAF Networking Event, held in the exclusive Right to Repair Lounge, brought together members for a more focused networking session.
Senior Consultant Robert Cox reflected:
“Attending with clients made it even more valuable. These events strengthen relationships and open the door to exciting future partnerships.”
