A Business Manager with a focus on used equipment is required to join the dealer development team of a leading machinery manufacturer. The Business Manager will execute and improve used equipment strategies across the Global dealer network. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with used equipment in the construction, agricultural machinery, off-highway or yellow goods sectors.

The Candidate
- A good understanding of the Used Equipment market (construction machinery, agricultural machinery, off-highway or yellow goods), its processes and the financial aspect of this sector is required.
- A proven background within Used Equipment, ideally within a construction machinery, agricultural machinery, off-highway or yellow goods manufacturer, dealer or auction house.
- A technical knowledge is highly advantageous.
- This role requires a first-class communicator with strong leadership, influencing and development skills.
- A business focus with experience of setting strategic direction and driving delivery.
- Project Management experience is ideal for this role.
- Previous experience in a dealer development role is highly advantageous although not essential.
- This role is office based with the requirement for national and international travel.
The Role
The Used Equipment Dealer Development Manager will report to the General Manager – Dealer Development, working on a national and international scale to become the ambassador for Used Equipment.
- Initiate the re-launch of the ‘approved used’ programme and define and execute a strategy to increase dealer usage available tools.
- Work with regional teams and the dealer development team to develop best practice and local dealer plans.
- Work with ‘at risk’ dealers, contributing to the development of turnaround plans.
- Identify and develop opportunities especially in the areas of emerging engine technologies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape including competitor networks, auctions and market developments.
