Technical Support – Electro-mechanical Machinery

An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with Electrical / PLC experience is available within a global supplier of electro-mechanical equipment. Our client is a leader in their field, operating across over 50 countries, they are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to become the first point of contact for customers across UK and Ireland. Our ideal candidate will combine mechanical, pneumatics and electrical experience with the ability to communicate with clients, developing and delivering support and training.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience with Pneumatics, Mechanical and Electrical / PLC equipment is essential.
  • Practical knowledge of industrial/automated systems.
  • Ideally, you will have installation and assembly experience within a commercial environment.
  • Willingness to travel in the role with a full clean driving licence and a valid passport.

The Role

  • Provide first-class pneumatics, mechanical and electrical / PLC support to UK and Ireland customer base.
  • Assist colleagues and customers in the identification of spare parts.
  • Carry out service, repairs and audits on electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Develop and deliver technical training for colleagues and customers.
  • Support installation supervisors, providing product and service support including undertaking the commissioning and installation of machines as required
  • Review installation schedules and flag any problems foreseen.
  • Report design problems and long-term issues to relevant parties.
