Technical Sales Manager / Sales Engineer

An exceptional career opportunity with the UK’s largest service provider to the mechanical and hydraulic press industry.  Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their successful team, to develop installation, service and parts sales to metal pressing companies across the North of England.

The Candidate

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Engineer will utilise their engineering knowledge to develop relationships with key customers in the metal pressing / manufacturing arena.

  • You will be educated, to a minimum of HNC level, in mechanical engineering.
  • Coupled with a proven history in mechanical roles, ideally focussing on hydraulics, pneumatics or electronics.
  • You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with customers, also drawing on your technical, engineering expertise.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience within commercial engineering roles, be focussed on achieving targets, developing new business and growing key customer accounts.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain sales of installation, service agreements and spare parts to key manufacturing sectors in the North of England.
  • Provide quotations and contribute to technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Manage projects and provide customers with on-going technical support.
  • Conduct research and develop a healthy new business pipeline.
  • Provide market information, forecasts and market studies.
  • Liaise with German parent company.
