Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing / Production 

We are looking to hire an experienced Supply Chain Manager with experience of operating in a manufacturing or production environment to lead, plan, coordinate, implement and control all supply chain activities and functions to ensure to achievement of targets and budgets.  The Supply Chain Manager will form part of the plant senior leadership team.

The role

• Define supply chain strategy and translate into action plans based on plant, business unit and group strategy.
• Implement and monitor policies, procedures and standards of supply chain.
• Control supply chain
• Participate in supplier selection, evaluation and development.
• Prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of supply chain cost centres.
• Perform regular production planning and control processes, working closely with the production team.
• Perform supplier management including capacity management, order confirmation, delivery and claim management.
• Plan, schedule and execute procurement
• Define and ensure operation of internal material handling and transportation for raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform inventory and warehouse management for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods.
• Execute operation with external logistics partners.
• Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development and coaching.
• Initiate and control the continuous qualification of supply chain employees in cooperation with HR.
• Ensure supply chain performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting.
• Identify, prioritise and implement supply chain process improvements.

The candidate

• An individual with a supply chain management, business administration, logistics or business engineering degree would be highly desirable, however candidates with relevant hands-on supply chain management experience will also be considered.
• Previous, successful experience in supply chain and logistics
• Cross-functional experience in engineering, quality, purchasing, production etc. is highly desirable although not essential.
• Our ideal candidate will have a successful leadership background including functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
• You should have a strong knowledge of SAP.
• Previous experience of operating within an international business is required.
• This role requires a strong supply chain process know-how including inventory and warehouse management, raw material, semi-finished and finished goods.
