This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with software development experience to join a market leading provider of diagnostic, programming and repair support.  The Software Developer will join the Global platform software team, working in a full stack environment and being involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

An intermediate knowledge of C# is required for this role as is a knowledge of WPF.

Salary – £25k-30k (depending upon experience) + life insurance + 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 days with length of service + enhance pension + private medical insurance 

The Role

• Participate in scrum/project planning meetings.
• Provide detailed and accurate effort estimations based on task requirements.
• Follow coding standards, and implement simple, clean and DRY code.
• Assist other developers in your team as necessary.
• Perform code reviews.
• Update tasks with status and progress in a timely manner.
• Report project status as required.
• Help champion the software development process inside the organization and report on any deficiencies or infractions against the decided/documented processes.
• Contribute to the updating of all team procedures under ISO9001 ensuring all necessary changes documented.
• Maintaining and extending codebases on numerous different projects ranging from net core, ASP.NET to SQL that are all part of the software lifecycle.

The Candidate

• Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a full stack software development role, using object-orientated development in particular C#
• A demonstrable knowledge of WPF.
• Previous experience of working with SQL language and relational databases.
• Other practical skills should include Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Git, GitFlow and Visual Studio IDE.
