Sales Manager – Aftermarket Distribution

Our client is a leading aftermarket supplier of automotive components, trading with many leading aftermarket brands both in the UK & Europe.  Significant industry knowledge and expertise, coupled with their global supply chain connections, make them the ideal aftermarket supply partner.

Sustainable, continued sales growth sees the business progressing and rapidly expanding.  This now results in an opportunity for the company to introduce a professional Sales Manager to steer sales and maintain their growth trend.

Field Based: Ideally located South East – Flexible – Maidstone, Dartford, Cambridge, Luton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Birmingham, Northampton, Reading, Coventry.

Salary – Competitive Basic, Bonus, Pension, Car

The Role

  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with customers.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on increasing revenue, profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets, products and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with existing and prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s products and services.
  • Attend trade shows in both the UK and Europe. Where appropriate travel further afield as required.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal staff, keeping all appropriate staff involved with customer information, issues, opportunities and developments.

The Candidate

  • You should have a proven background as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or similar role.
  • Proven successful sales & profitability track record.
  • Experience or understanding of automotive engineering and components an advantage.
  • Proficiency in social media and computer skills.
  • Additional language skills would be useful, but not essential.
  • Automotive aftermarket parts / distribution knowledge preferred.
  • Time management and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time away from home when necessary.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Effective and proactive team member.
  • Work remotely, be self-motivated, and use own initiative to achieve objectives and tasks.
