Category Manager needed to head the Product, Marketing and Technical Teams for a major branded company based within the automotive aftermarket. Excellent opportunity to work for a professional and forward thinking market leader.

An exciting position is available for a Head of Category Management based in the West Midlands to join an already successful company.  You will be joining an established market leader which is yielding excellent opportunities for their staff.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate management and commercial expertise at a strategic level.  The ability to use product and customer data will be essential in building the strategic direction from customer needs through to project delivery.  You will lead your team to deliver road map goals for sales and profit targets.

  • Lead cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Commercial and Technical functions.
  • Understand the market requirements explicitly allowing you to direct your team and portfolio to success
  • Lead NPD making sure the company is positioned as the market leader in developments and availability
  • Lead the successful launch of new products and concepts within your portfolio. Ensure that product range is reviewed and challenged.
  • Able to manage Technical and Warranty staff and oversee the helpdesk / technical team.
  • Commercial acumen with a solid background of managing supplier relationships, pricing and inventory is essential
  • Identify new opportunities for growth through new product development and market penetration.
  • Manage supplier relationships.

  • Technical knowledge / Technically focussed.
  • Advanced skills in analysis / have an analytical nature
  • Good knowledge of Marketing
  • Product forecasting / Product lifecycle
  • Degree Educated or equivalent
  • Professional experience or formal qualifications in the automotive sector would be essential.
