Business Development Manager – Commercial Vehicle

A leading automotive manufacturing business operative in the commercial vehicle, PSV, agriculturaland construction machineryaftermarketparts sectors are keen to appoint an individual with a strong work ethic and professional sales approach to grow sales via distribution in Northern UK & Ireland.

 The ideal will candidate will come from a sales background from within the  CV aftermarket, and will possess a strong knowledge of commercial vehicle distributors and repairers within the region.

 Ideally located – Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Doncaster, Bradford, Blackburn, Harrogate

 £35-40k+OTE, Company Vehicle, Contributory Pension Scheme

The Role:

  • Establish, maintain and develop new and existing customer relationships.
  • Present and sell the company’s products to existing and potential customers.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  • Support the distributor network in gaining new business from competitors.
  • Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiriesnew leads and referrals.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and provide relevant management information.
  • Responsible for effectively structuring sales activities, including journey planningnew business strategyaccount profiling & prioritisation.
  • Attend sales promotionstrade and exhibition events, in addition to product training and sales meetings.

The Candidate:

  • A sound knowledge of parts especially within the commercial vehicle and heavy-duty sectors.
  • Experience dealing with CV factors & repairers, whether trucktrailerbus & coach or plant & agricultural is key.
  • A knowledge of the auto electrical business would be a distinct advantage.
  • Be target driven and work within sales budgets.
