A results driven Business Development Manager is required to join the field sales team for a leading nationwide supplier of vehicle parts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical knowledge of the Truck and Trailer / Commercial Vehicle parts sector.

Our client is a leading nationwide supplier of quality genuine and OE parts to the Commercial Vehicle Fleet Workshop sector with an excellent distribution network.

They are seeking Business Development Manager to develop new and existing business within the fleet operator sector.

The Role

  • Build strong relationships at all levels within commercial vehicle / public service vehicle fleet operators.
  • Secure customer commitment to supply the company’s products and services.
  • Provide first class end-to-end customer support, from enquiry through to distribution.
  • Gather market intelligence from customers in order to influence and improve company sales strategy.
  • Review, analyse and maintain the customer database, to ensure that opportunities are maximised at all times.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing material and events.

The Candidate

  • A sales professional with a proven track record and knowledge of truck and trailer parts.
  • A background in the sales of these products to customers in fleet workshops.
  • A technical understanding or appreciation of these products and the commercial fleet sector is a prerequisite.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to effectively build and maintain business relationships at all levels, from workshop managers to fleet owners / directors.
  • Pro-active in identifying and generating new business opportunities against sales and profitability targets.
  • Self-motivated and driven to progress within the organisation.
  • A customer focused approach is essential.
  • A high level of numerical proficiency.
  • Organised with excellent time management ability.
