Master Technician – Automotive Technical Support – Volkswagen Group brands 

Are you a Master Vehicle Technician or a Level 3 ATA qualified Automotive Technician looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience away from the workshop?  With experience of Volkswagen Group brands (VW, Audi, Skoda and SEAT) vehicles? Could you assist other technicians in developing their skills through technical support and coaching?

Our client is a market leading provider of automotive diagnostic products, they are seeking an experienced automotive technician, trained to Master Technician level or Level 3 ATA in light vehicle repair to provide technical support via telephone and email to customers.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience of Volkswagen Group brands (VW, Audi, Skoda and SEAT) vehicles. 

Office based – Commutable from – Oxford, Thame, Bicester, Banbury, Wheatley, Chipping Norton, Witney, Wantage, Didcot, Abingdon, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Winslow, Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Brackley

Salary circa 37-40k + enhanced pension + life assurance + private medical + 25 days holiday + Monday to Friday working 

The Candidate

• You will be a time-served, qualified Vehicle Technician, ideally worked on VW, Audi, Skoda or SEAT branded cars.
• Your qualifications should include Master Technician, Level 3 ATA, NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds.
• Volkswagen Group specific training is advantageous.
• Diagnostic skills and experience.
• The ability to evaluate information and diagnose technical problems
• A strong knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical 

The Role

• Provide technical support to garages and workshops via telephone and through electronic methods.
• Assist customers by supplying information, instruction, advice and support, this could be in relation to diagnostic equipment or the diagnosis, repair or maintenance of cars.
• Liaise with engineering colleagues to assist in the development of software, data and hardware products.
• Prepare and deliver training to customers and colleagues.
