Area Sales Executive 

An exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Representative to join a supplier of industrial, automotive and mechanical tools and consumables. Our client is seeking an Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Representative to work closely with various automotive and industrial distributors to increase sales through demonstration and “workout” days.

Our client is looking to increase their field sales team with the addition of an Area Sales Executive to cover the Midlands area.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • As an Area Sales Executive you need to have strong communication skills and be comfortable talking and selling to mechanics, garage staff, repairers, engineers and distributor staff.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of either the automotive aftermarket, garage network or industrial / engineering supplies distribution sectors would be an advantage.
  • You will take a proactive approach to developing new business, identifying opportunities and maintaining a pipeline.
  • Previous experience as a Field Sales representative or Area Sales Manager in a B2B environment is essential.

The Job role:

As an Area Executive you will:

  • Develop the Midlands territory to achieve agreed target levels through a combination of new and existing customer management.
  • Take a proactive approach to developing new business, identifying opportunities and maintaining a pipeline.
  • Develop a prospecting system which addresses these new opportunities within garages, bodyshops and industrial markets within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively with internally and externally based colleagues.
  • Ensure the company is perceived as a professional supplier who is easy to do business with.
