Account Manager / Sales Manager – Engineering

A fantastic opportunity exists for an Internal Sales Account Manager / Key Account Manager with a technical background to join a progressive company who is in the centre of manufacturing excellence, supplying turned parts and precision engineered machined components to various industry sectors.

 Ideally located – Redditch, Alcester, Studley, Stratford upon Avon, Henley in Arden, Bidford on Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Droitwich, Worcester, Bromsgrove, Evesham.

 £35-£45k Basic

The Role

The main purpose of the role is to manage, maintain and grow existing accounts whilst also developing the client base and increase turnover.

  • Account management to include the expediting of sub-contract
  • Production of sales reports and sales forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Updating of customer sales schedules and sales forecast on a daily basis.
  • Full contract review of all customer purchase orders.
  • Seek out and qualify sales opportunities directly with end user customers.
  • Drive and integrate marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales with personal sales efforts including promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing to stimulate new business meetings.
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities to ensure high levels of efficiency.
  • Utilise social media tools available to help generate new business.
  • The role will roughly be split 80% account management and 20% new business. Development will be for the first 6-12 months, then the split will be 60/40.

The Candidate

  • You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of CNC machinery – fixed head, sliding head & prismatic.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have a strong technical knowledge.

  • Would ideally suit someone who has worked within a workshop and then transferred to
