This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified Accountant to step into a Commercial Accounting role with a leading engineering / industrial manufacturing business. This role will encompass all day to day Finance and Accounting activities for the business, whilst also providing a robust finance support strategy with group reporting into global HQ based in Europe. We are looking for either a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant, or a time-served commercially experienced Accountant holding AAT or equivalent.   You will also have a passion for improving and streamlining commercial / financial reporting, maximizing efficiency through utilisation of systems and technology.

Flexibility is a key benefit: This role will potentially cover 2 sites, one Midlands based and one Southern, therefore there will need to be some flexibility across the working week combining some home-based work with at least 1 additional location.

Ideal base Location: Birmingham, Coventry, Northampton, Rugby, Milton Keynes, Warwick

Package: £40,000 – £50,000 p.a. + Benefits + Generous Mileage Allowance + Career Advancement

The Candidate

  • Reporting to the MD you will be a qualified or part qualified accountant with strong financial accounting and financial administration experience, preferably from within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical expertise in preparing both monthly and annual accounts / statements.
  • Excellent communication skills able to report into the European HQ and deliver group financial reports.
  • Competently, efficiently and autonomously manage day to day financial tasks for the UK subsidiary.
  • Precise and articulate attention to detail able to quickly spot anomalies and balance accounting files.
  • Highly PC literate with an excellent ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel, whilst also possessing knowledge of SAP B1 and Sage
  • Ability to meet stringent timescales and deadlines quickly.

The Role

  • Responsible for month end financial activities and annual accounting for the UK subsidiary.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and financial planning / financial administration.
  • Corporate cost control including salaries, bonus payments and company expenses.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for the UK.
  • Monitor purchasing, acquisitions and international currency conversions.
  • Financial reporting to the European group / HQ.
  • Assist with any audit
  • Assist in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maximize accounting efficiency and accuracy for the business through system development & technology.

A commercially robust Managing Director / Senior General Manager / Senior Business Manager is needed to scale up a recently acquired, long standing, successful automotive business. The coverage includes engineering, design & sub-assembly, catering for applications across automotive retrofit markets, vehicle converters and automotive mobility. Our ideal Business Head will hold aspirations for growing the business function and becoming the trusting face of the business.

  • Knowledge and experience of the vehicle conversion market and vehicle retrofit sectors such as automotive mobility, LCV, PSV vehicles would be of interest.
  • A visionary, optimistic and positive outlook, able to push the boundaries in developing and scaling up business performance.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to immerse yourself in the company, dealing with all elements of business performance.
  • This role is a stand-alone remit therefore, our perfect candidate will need to be customer centric with the personality, charisma and people skills to instil the trust of staff, customers and suppliers.

An Account Manager with the ability to develop and nurture relationships with Automotive OEMs is required to join a leading automotive aftersales consultancy working with key vehicle manufacturers to improve service and increase sales of aftersales solutions and services. The Account Manager will manage existing relationships with OEMs / Vehicle Manufacturers whilst identifying opportunities to grow these accounts.

France – Ideally located – Paris, Boulogne-Billancourt, Créteil, Rambouillet, Evry, Melun, Plasir, Pontoise, Creil, Saint-Denis, Meaux, Noisy-le-Grand

Salary: OTE €80,000 – €120,000 (€42,000 – €63,000 Basic + Bonus)

The Role

  • Develop, grow and maintain successful customer relationships with assigned OEMs / Vehicle Manufacturers.
  • Achieve business development and sales goals.
  • Conduct and understand market intelligence for the French region and utilise this to meet regional client needs.
  • Develop on-going business strategies to ensure long-term opportunities with OEMs.
  • Produce regular customer forecasts to contribute to strategy planning and budgeting.
  • Partner with colleagues in other areas (e.g. product or customer support) to ensure quality and satisfaction.
  • Analyse available data and provide reports to colleagues and stakeholders as well as OEM customers.

The Candidate

  • Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree, or equivalent, with a focus on business, sales and marketing or have proven experience of building successful business relationships with large organisations.
  • Previous experience of managing national accounts within the automotive industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of and relationships with Automotive OEMs / Vehicle Manufacturers is highly advantageous.
  • Background of operating in the aftermarket, aftersales or automotive technology solutions sectors is required.
  • Fluent English language skills are required alongside a fluency in French.
