An experienced Senior Account Manager / Senior Manager / Senior Business Manager is required to develop After Sales solutions and Consultancy Services with leading Vehicle Manufacturers and vehicle OEM’s nationally and internationally.

Professionals with a good pedigree in Automotive After Sales and developing programmes with Vehicle Manufacturers will be distinctly interesting.

£55k – £60k + Car Allowance + Pension + Benefits

What are we looking for?

We are searching for a candidate with 10 key skills and experiences…

  1. A successful track record in senior commercial dealings with vehicle manufacturers?
  2. Solid experience of growing aftersales programmes and detailed knowledge of aftersales processes?
  3. Strong understanding of the Automotive Aftersales world.
  4. The ability to precisely work with large amounts of data / data manipulation / information?
  5. Great Microsoft Excel skills to advanced level?
  6. Good understanding of Dealer Management Systems?
  7. The capability to operate in a “self-sufficient” capacity and manage your own workload?
  8. You are an active team member and contribute positively towards team initiatives?
  9. Excellent communication & presentation skills, written, visual and verbal?
  10. Flexibility to travel and work remotely at client’s premises when required?
  11. Interaction with all elements of business, linking commercial requirements with technical solutions?

A Vice President / Senior Executive / General Manager is required, taking responsibility for profit and loss, employee engagement and customer satisfaction as well as driving growth, strategy and business transformation.

The European Vice President will have the ability to run major initiatives including large scale business change – you should have first class business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset whilst being able to operate successfully within a private equity business model including shareholder management.

Alongside these skills you will demonstrate a proven background in the automotive sector – this could be a vehicle manufacturer, a fleet provider or an automotive supplier.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the European Vice President will serve as a Director for UK, German and French business entities

  • Become a key member of the senior management, leadership and executive teams to develop company and product line strategies.
  • Provide leadership at an executive level.
  • Take responsibility for increasing customer satisfaction and growing sales, ensuring teams are working effectively to achieve this.
  • Build credible business cases considering necessary commercial and technical aspects and ensure they are executed successfully, meeting financial commitments.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the automotive industry and market conditions.
  • Build effective business alliances.
  • Drive legal agreements, business development alliances, merger and acquisition leadership, board of director engagement and strategy.
  • Help define European organisational structure, guide recruitment, team development and motivation.

The Candidate

  • Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in business, marketing or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience within a leadership or senior management
  • Extensive, European wide knowledge of the automotive industry, vehicle manufacturers, automotive fleet, or automotive supply chain.
  • A track record of evolving teams.
  • The ability to manage large-scale projects.
  • A leader with the ability to take the lead across the whole business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified Accountant to step into a Commercial Accounting role with a leading engineering / industrial manufacturing business. This role will encompass all day to day Finance and Accounting activities for the business, whilst also providing a robust finance support strategy with group reporting into global HQ based in Europe. We are looking for either a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant, or a time-served commercially experienced Accountant holding AAT or equivalent.   You will also have a passion for improving and streamlining commercial / financial reporting, maximizing efficiency through utilisation of systems and technology.

Flexibility is a key benefit: This role will potentially cover 2 sites, one Midlands based and one Southern, therefore there will need to be some flexibility across the working week combining some home-based work with at least 1 additional location.

Ideal base Location: Birmingham, Coventry, Northampton, Rugby, Milton Keynes, Warwick

Package: £40,000 – £50,000 p.a. + Benefits + Generous Mileage Allowance + Career Advancement

The Candidate

  • Reporting to the MD you will be a qualified or part qualified accountant with strong financial accounting and financial administration experience, preferably from within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical expertise in preparing both monthly and annual accounts / statements.
  • Excellent communication skills able to report into the European HQ and deliver group financial reports.
  • Competently, efficiently and autonomously manage day to day financial tasks for the UK subsidiary.
  • Precise and articulate attention to detail able to quickly spot anomalies and balance accounting files.
  • Highly PC literate with an excellent ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel, whilst also possessing knowledge of SAP B1 and Sage
  • Ability to meet stringent timescales and deadlines quickly.

The Role

  • Responsible for month end financial activities and annual accounting for the UK subsidiary.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and financial planning / financial administration.
  • Corporate cost control including salaries, bonus payments and company expenses.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for the UK.
  • Monitor purchasing, acquisitions and international currency conversions.
  • Financial reporting to the European group / HQ.
  • Assist with any audit
  • Assist in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maximize accounting efficiency and accuracy for the business through system development & technology.
